Not Their First Rodeo

Year number 7 of The World Round Up Freestyle Skateboard Championships at the Cloverdale Rodeo in Surrey, BC, Canada was live and in charge for the Semi-Finals today. With a 9 year old from Japan (Yuzuki Kawasaki) leading the way in the Amateur division it may be tough for Brazilian Marcio Torres to complete the repeat from last year, plus adding Alexander Rademaker into the mix isn’t helping, but tomorrow will tell the truth.

The Pro division is the same story with an age range from 15 year old Isamu Yamamoto up to 54 year old Guenter Mokulys. Isamu won the Pro division last year and of course wants to keep the title in Japan but when you have legends like Guenter, Mike Osterman, Ryan Brynelson, and Stefan Lillis Akesson to beat, plus local kid Andy Anderson with his smooth hypnotic style it’s a total free for all out there and it’s definitely anybody’s game. Top 15 from today in both categories will be in full effect for the 2018 Finals, and it comes down to that moment to define the winners. Every one of these competitors have the talent to win, they just need that perfect run and it has to be better than the next guy.

The judges have a tough job but they are judges for a reason…
