The World Round-Up 10th Anniversary is happening May 17-20, 2024 at the Cloverdale Rodeo & Country Fair!
Some details:
The venue is changing from the Curling Rink to the Alice McKay building just for this year. The curling rink is undergoing a renovation and the floor is being replaced to install a new cooling system. The Alice McKay building is two buildings south of the Curling Rink.
Friday May 17th, 2024 will be an optional freestyle practice day this year. We will not have a qualifying day. We have gotten lots of feedback that our contest spans many days and may be difficult for some competitors.
The doors will open at 12:00pm to 5pm for freestyle practice and we will be hosting a “Roots of Skate” retro contest from 6-8pm. As a freestyle competitor, if you don’t need to practice on Friday, you don’t need to attend. But it’s up to each skater to decide based on their own personal schedules.
Saturday and Sunday will be the main freestyle days. We plan to host the same divisions we had last year including Women’s, Amateur, Pro, Masters Am and Pro. We may host a Rookies division if there are enough skaters.
Monday will be a specialty tricks day. This day is also optional as not all freestyle skaters participate but it’s a fun day for everyone and is a chance to win additional prizes!
